Linua© marcal proposes an ecological design signage to promote sustainable architecture. It is made of an eco-friendly material composed of flax and hemp fibers, vegetable resin and natural cork.
This innovative bio-based material, kairlin®, has a low environmental impact throughout its life cycle, needs little energy to be produced, does not generate any type of chemical emanation and can be fully recycled and compostable in industrial composting facilities at the end of its useful life.
Linua© marcal is composed of a 100% vegetable cladding made up of flax and hemp fibers, cohesive by vegetable resin (PLA - polylactic acid with certificate of compostability and without GMOs). PLA resin is made from cassava, corn starch, beets and / or sugar cane.
The linua© marcal signage is manufactured in France in a proximity circuit in addition to using renewable energy for its transformation in our facilities. (photovoltaic self-consumption)
The linua© marcal signage is available in various formats to deal with the functions of door plate, directional signs or elevator directories.
The information and graphic design are printed on a paper between the structure of the biocomposite material and the transparent front of recycled PMMA. Changing signage information and graphic design is simple and done without tools.
The linua© marcal signage also includes the cutting of raised types, numbers and individual pictograms.
Various thicknesses, heights and textures of the eco-design material are available in order to create different relief and material effects.
The signage integrates accessibility devices (full access) as in the rest of the ©marcal ranges by means of raised letters and writing in Braille.
The sign product is wall-mounted mechanically by screws or by structural adhesive. The fixing system is hidden.
The cutting types are wall-mounted by structural adhesive.

technical description
The support is made up of the following elements:
An bio-based composite material with a low environmental impact (kairlin®) made up of flax and hemp fibers and bonded by a vegetable resin (PLA - polylactic acid from cassava, corn starch, beet and / or sugar cane) make up the outer cladding of a cork core. The whole is cut and machinning.
The bio-based material presents a window with its three sides deepened at 45º that allow a volume of recycled PMMA 3mm thick to slide with its edges polished at the same angle.
The side and bottom edges of the recycled PMMA plate are leveled with the biomaterial returns and together form a flat surface that forms the front of the product into which the information printed on a paper document is inserted.
Fixing is done using two countersunk head screws.
