Pasamano© marcal proposes a range of tactile design signage products that enhance information accessibility for all audiences.
The tactile devices are made from aluminum and engraved to create both visual and tactile contrast: the information is presented in raised braille and embossed characters, with a brushed finish. The visual contrast of the tactile signs is achieved through black anodizing of the background in contrast to the raised areas.
Pasamano© marcal signage is customizable from vector graphic files. The messages are concise—arrow, pictogram, text, or code. Given this synthesis of information, along with space limitations (height, typeface, and language) and the time required for tactile reading, careful consideration must be given to the placement of this accessibility signage.
Pasamano© Marcal is used on handrails and walkways to assist blind and visually impaired individuals in identifying floor levels on staircases, improving access on transport platforms, or providing identification in technical aids.
The PASA D models are customizable in content and are installed directly onto handrails or wall-mounted above them, preferably on the right-hand side. The half-round bending of the device is variable (between 35 mm and 55 mm) and is fixed using structural adhesive or mechanical fasteners.
Floor identification in elevator lobbies, as well as in various rooms, is carried out using PASAPICTO wall-mounted numbering and pictograms. Likewise, the complementary range of customizable braille supports, PASA E, allows for upgrades in building accessibility, particularly for those that already have signage installed but do not meet full access standards.

technical description
The tactile device is made up of the following elements:
The raised elements (high relief) arrows, pictograms, numbering and braille writing are engraved on a 2 mm aluminum plate. The perimeter edges are chamfered to facilitate haptic reading. The product is curved according to the diameter of the cylindrical handrail, forming a half-round device (between 35 and 55 mm). A treatment by brushing and black anodizing of the background in bas-relief, ensure visual contrast.
The tactile handrails signage is fixed by structural adhesive, preferably on the right side of stairs or corridors.
