The signage project:
The Raymond Uldry business school signage project is located in Geneva, Switzerland.
The architecture office in charge of the project is Meier+associés architectes (MAA SA) and the executive project corresponds to the “Architect” studio.
The flower-shaped architecture of the building harmonizes with the environment and the signage highlights 75 classrooms, 3 gyms, a 300 seats in “aula magna”, a 200 seat dining room, a media library, accommodation and bicycle parking.
The signage project in the educational environment works thanks to the different types of supports that hierarchize and organize the information, always responding to the needs of the users during their movements in the building. The analysis phase on the architectural plan is the one that allows defining the circulation flows and the signage programming.
The graphic design of the signage is made up of a selection of fonts, pictograms and colors.
The large floor number identifications next to the directional sign post are painted directly onto the concrete walls.
The identification plates of classrooms are lacquered in different colors and allow the incorporation of temporary information such as planning of the classes, schedules, activities, etc.
The fire safety signage follows the same graphic language with evolving supports that accept content modifications if necessary.
Finally, the logic in the alignment of the supports, the variation of formats and positioning in the space contribute to the success of this signage project.
