The signage project:
The Wilmotte Architects Associated studio has designed the expansion and complete renovation of the Touquet-Paris-Plage Conference Center, making the project architecture contemporary while respecting the existing one.
The signage, for its part, allows to value this exceptional place dedicated to cultural and business tourism, integrating with the architectural precept of fusion of times.
A general directory offers at the entrance a mapped view of the spaces with a schematic plan of the ground floor and the two levels. The spaces are named, coded and the use of a color completes the hierarchy of the signage information: reception, tourist office, Duhamel or Ravel hall, Schuman or Molière conferences rooms, Victor Boucher Theater, commission room, restrooms and cloakrooms.
The local index at the exit of the elevators organize the vertical flows while the directional sign post inform about the orientation of the horizontal flows.
Design door plates indicate the functions of each space.
The sober and elegant graphic design also stands out for its signage made in solid letters cut out in relief, which participates in creating harmony between the signage messages and the architecture of the interior spaces.
The signage supports are made of tempered glass and the fixing spacers in black anodized aluminum or natural aluminum. The door plates are made from an aluminum profile combined with transparent PMMA while the types and pictograms are made of 8mm aluminum and micro-sandblasted before being anodized in a natural finish.
