The signage project:
The building of the Dental Sciences Research Training Unit (UFR) is an architectural project of the Denis Debaig agency. The approximately 3300m2 building spread over four floors offers supervised class room and practice rooms, an amphitheater, meeting rooms, research spaces and student life venues. The interior and exterior signage materials of this dental health teaching and research building are adapted without altering the architectural design. Tempered glass and anodized aluminum are the materials of the supports that, together with the graphics of the information, order the horizontal and vertical circulation flows. These signs surfaces ensure the essential functions of the general entry directory, the local lift and stair directory, the directional signposts, the personal door plate, the technical room, the floor number or information points. The phase of study and programming on plans is the origin of the definition of the signaling project.
The "High Environmental Quality" certification rewards the project. Marcal's commitment as a manufacturer of signage through the «one circle» concept has allowed it to register within the framework of the law for ecological development on the energy transition, with the use of signage products composed of durable materials, 100% recyclable and indefinitely recyclable.
On the other hand, the regulatory signage has allowed to respond to French, European and international standards in force, relating to fire safety, evacuation maps, intervention plans and the design of safety elements, evacuation symbols and signs. (NF X08-070 et NF EN ISO 7010).
And finally, accessibility for the integration of people has been an important consideration of the signage project in the case of a building open to the public (NF P 98-352, BP P 96-104, ISO FDIS 21542 on constructions: accessibility and ease of use of the built environment).
